Ravens 4th Round TE Dennis Pitta Agrees to Terms

Baltimore Ravens fourth-round (114th overall) tight end Dennis Pitta has agreed to terms on a three-year contract, Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times and National Football Post reports.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Pitta (6-5, 245) caught 221 passes for 2,901 yards and 21 touchdowns during his 50-game career at BYU. Pitta was a first-team All-Mountain West Conference selection each of the last three seasons, and was a consensus All-American and John Mackey Award finalist after the 2009 season.

Pitta was one of the two tight ends chosen in the middle rounds of the 2010 NFL Draft, and will compete with third-round pick Ed Dickson for playing time as Todd Heap's backup.

Pitta joins fifth-round defensive lineman Arthur Jones as the Ravens' 2010 draft picks who have agreed to terms on a contract.
