Packers Release Four

Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports the Green Bay Packers have released four players on Friday.

Waived on Friday were linebacker Tim Knicky and quarterback Noah Shepard, a pair of undrafted free agents, along with second-year cornerback Trevor Ford and safety Khalil Jones.

Jones was in the process of converting to the defensive backfield after entering the NFL as a wide receiver coming out of the University of Miami. Jones entered the NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons last May.

Bedard adds that these releases clear spots on the 80-man off-season roster for draft pick signings, and that none of the releases are a surprise.
