Isaac Bruce to Help Coach WRs During Bears Training Camp

Retired wide receiver Isaac Bruce will spend training camp with the Chicago Bears, where he'll work with the wide receivers as part of the NFL's Minority Coaching Fellowship program, Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Bruce had worked this off-season with Bears wide receiver Devin Hester, helping him learn offensive coordinator Mike Martz's system.

In seven seasons as the "Z" receiver in Martz's system with the St. Louis Rams, Bruce caught 501 passes for 7,615 yards and 48 touchdowns, an average of 72-1,088-7 per season, and went to the Pro Bowl after the 1999, 2000, and 2001 seasons.

Bruce retired as a member of the Rams on June 9.

Darryl Drake is the Bears full-time receivers coach.
