Seahawks Re-Sign G Chester Pitts

Free agent guard Chester Pitts announced that he will be re-signing with the Seattle Seahawks.

"Headed back to work! Did you miss me? And YES-Im very excited!," Pitts posted on his Twitter account, before adding some clarification about his destination. "Oops my bad! Headed back to the Great Northwest! Seattle and 12th Man Nation did you miss me???????????"

The Seahawks released Pitts last Thursday, as the 31-year old's knee was not allowing him to return to the field for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Seattle has not announced any corresponding transactions, but with ten offensive linemen under contract, it's likely that an offensive linemen would be released when Pitts is officially re-signed.

Guards Evan Dietrich-Smith and Mike Gibson are the most likely candidates to be released.
