Saints Claim RB P.J. Hill Off Waivers

The New Orleans Saints have claimed running back P.J. Hill off waivers from the Washington Redskins, Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune reports.

Signed by the Saints last April as an undrafted free agent from the University of Wisconsin, Hill ran for 128 yards and 3 touchdowns, and caught a pair of passes for 9 yards last summer for the New Orleans Saints.

Waived at the end of training camp, Hill was on the Saints' practice squad when the Philadelphia Eagles signed him to their active roster. Released and re-signed to the Eagles' practice squad, the Redskins signed Hill to their active roster in the final week of the 2009 regular season.

Hill is signed through the 2011 season, with base salaries of $395,000 in 2010 and $480,000 in 2011.
