Redskins Sign 4th Round LB Perry Riley

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports the Washington Redskins have signed fourth-round linebacker Perry Riley.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

A two-year starter at LSU, the 6-1, 239-pound Riley totaled 185 tackles, including 13 for a loss and a pair of quarterback sacks during his 47-game career. Riley also intercepted a pair of passes, broke up eight others, and recovered two fumbles for the Tigers.

Riley was named Defensive MVP of the 2008 Chick-fil-A Bowl.

An outside linebacker at LSU, Riley will play inside linebacker in the Redskins' 3-4 defensive system. Riley's immediate contributions will be on special teams.

Riley, the 103rd overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, is the fifth of the Redskins' six draft picks to sign a contract, with only first-round offensive tackle Trent Williams unsigned.
