Ravens Sign FB Jason McKie

Free agent fullback Jason McKie has been signed by the Baltimore Ravens.

Safety Ken Hamlin has been placed on waivers.

The Ravens are scrambling for a fullback after Le'Ron McClain injured his ankle during Sunday's 17-10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Ravens will need to make a corresponding transaction to officially sign McKie, but no announcement has been made at this time.

McKie (5-11, 247) entered the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Temple. McKie split his rookie season between the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys practice squads, appearing in one game for Dallas in 2002.

Claimed off waivers by the Bears in 2003, McKie appeared in 87 games between 2003 and 2009, running for 84 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 68 receptions for 364 yards and another 3 touchdowns as a receiver.

McKie signed with New Orleans in May and released before the starting of training camp. Re-signed during the pre-season, McKie was part of the Saints' final roster cuts in early September.
