Rams Aren't Interested in Devin Thomas

St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney said the team is not interested in free agent wide receiver Devin Thomas, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The Rams have lost wide receiver Mark Clayton for the season to a torn patellar tendon in his knee. Prior to Sunday, Clayton had led the Rams with 22 receptions for 300 yards.

Former Rams personnel executive Tony Softli reported for 101 ESPN in St. Louis that the Rams had a workout scheduled with Thomas for Tuesday.

A 2008 second-round pick (34th overall) out of Michigan State, the Redskins waived Thomas on Saturday. Thomas (6-2, 215) had just 40 receptions for 445 yards and 3 touchdowns in 34 career games, but has value as a kick returner and special teams player.
