Packers TE Jermichael Finley May Miss Remainder of Season

Brad Biggs of the National Football Post reports that Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley may miss the remainder of the 2010 season.

Finley underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair torn meniscus in his right knee, and was expected to miss three-to-six weeks. Citing a league source, Biggs reports that Finley's recovery time is now looking to more in the six-to-ten week timeframe, which could be long enough to where the Packers shut him down for the season.

Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel confirms the change in timeframe, and adds that the Packers are mulling their options.

"They discovered the lateral meniscus could be repaired, which is a longer recovery time but better long term," Bedard posted on Twitter.
