Lions to Sign LB Rocky Boiman

Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com reports the Detroit Lions will sign free agent linebacker Rocky Boiman.
Terms were not disclosed.
Boiman (6-4, 236) was a fourth-round pick (133rd overall) out of Notre Dame in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, whose defense was coordinated by current Lions head coach Jim Schwartz.
In eight NFL seasons with the Titans (2002-05), Indianapolis Colts (2006-07), Kansas City Chiefs (2008) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2009), Boiman has appeared in 103 games (28 starts) and has totaled 256 tackles, 1.5 quarterback sacks, with 5 interceptions, 9 passes defensed, and 3 forced fumbles.
60 of Boiman's tackles have come on special teams.
