Lions Re-Sign DT Robert Callaway

The Detroit Lions have re-signed rookie defensive tackle Rob Callaway.

Veteran defensive tackle Joe Cohen, who posted 9 tackles and a quarterback sack in 7 games for the Lions a season ago, was "waived/injured".

Cohen was a fourth-round pick (135th overall) out of Florida in 2007 by the San Francisco 49ers. After spending his rookie season on injured reserve, spent part of the 2008 season on the Miami Dolphins practice squad. Cohen spent last summer in the Oakland Raiders' training camp, and joined the Lions' practice squad last October.

Callaway, a 6-5, 312-pound undrafted free agent from Saginaw Valley State, spent the off-season with the Lions before being waived last week when the club signed cornerback Paul Pratt.
