The New York Jets have waived linebacker Kenwin Cummings, reports Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Cummings (6-3, 250) has been active for three games this season, but has not recorded any statistics.

Signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Wingate in 2008, Cummings spent most of the previous two seasons on the Jets' practice squad before earning a spot on the 53-man roster by leading the team in tackles (12) during the pre-season.

Who'll replace Cummings on the roster was not disclosed.
