The New York Jets announced the signing of linebacker Josh Mauga off the practice squad.

Veteran defensive tackle Howard Green has been waived.

A first-year player from the University of Nevada, Mauga signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Waived with an injury settlement in August, Mauga joined the team's practice squad for the month of the season and the playoffs.

Mauga missed most of the 2010 training camp with a concussion, but was re-signed to the practice squad after being waived in September.

The Jets re-signed Green after losing nose tackle Kris Jenkins to a torn ACL in Week 1. In two games, the 6-2, 365-pounder had a tackle and forced fumble.

Linebacker Kenwin Cummins, waived by the Jets late last week, was re-signed to the practice squad.
