Eagles Sign DE Bobby McCray

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have signed defensive end Bobby McCray.

To make for McCray, veteran defensive end Derrick Burgess has been released.

Burgess, who played for the Eagles from 2001-04, was re-signed two weeks ago, and appeared in just one game in his second stint in Philadelphia.

McCray, a 2004 seventh-round pick (249th overall) out of Florida by the Jacksonville Jaguars, has 134 tackles and 29.5 quarterback sacks during his six-year career.

McCray has spent the previous two seasons with the New Orleans Saints, who released and re-signed McCray over the summer, only to waive him again prior to the start of the regular season.
