Eagles Re-Sign G Max Jean-Gilles

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that they have re-signed guard Max Jean-Gilles.

Jean-Gilles was released on Saturday when the team's trade of offensive lineman Stacy Andrews to the Seattle Seahawks was not processed prior to the 6pm ET deadline for the team to reduce it's roster to 53.

A fourth-round pick (99th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft out of Georgia, Jean-Gilles has started 16 of the 29 games he's been active. Jean-Gilles was a restricted free agent this off-season, and was scheduled to earn a $1.176 million base salary under an "Original Round" tender.

Jean-Gilles had lap-band surgery this off-season, and is expected to provide depth at both spots on the Eagles offensive line.
