Cowboys DE Marcus Spears Not Attending OTAs

Dallas Cowboys restricted free agent defensive end Marcus Spears is not attending the team's voluntary "Organized Team Activity" sessions today, reports Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.

A first-round pick (20th overall) out of LSU in the 2005 NFL Draft, Spears has started 71 of his 80 regular season games with the Cowboys, totaling 166 tackles and 8 quarterback sacks. Despite his status as a starting defensive end, the Cowboys tendered Spears at the "Original Round" level, which carries a $1.226 million dollar base salary for 2010.

The 6-4, 309-pound Spears has signed his one-year tender.
