Cardinals Sign 4th Round LB O'Brien Schofield

The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of fourth-round linebacker O'Brien Schofield.

Financial terms of the four-year deal were not disclosed.

A two-year starter at the University of Wisconsin, Schofield earned first-team All-Big Ten honors after a senior season where he tallied 62 tackles, including 24.5 for a loss (second-most in the nation) and 12 quarterback sacks.

The 6-2, 221-pound defensive end tore an ACL during Senior Bowl workouts, and is likely to begin his first NFL training camp on the PUP list. Though Schofield is unable to do on-field work, he took mental reps during the Cardinals’ “Organized Team Activity” sessions and mini-camp.

Viewed as a long-term investment by the Cardinals, there are no plans to rush him back from his knee injury this season
