Browns RB Jerome Harrison Participating in OTAs

Cleveland Browns restricted free agent running back Jerome Harrison has yet to sign his one-year tender, but is participating in the team's voluntary "Organized Team Activity" sessions, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports.

A fifth-round pick (145th overall) out of Washington State University by the Browns in 2006, Harrison had just 77 carries for 448 yards and a touchdown during his first three seasons in the league. Harrison's production exploded late last season when he ran for 286 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-34 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Harrison followed up that effort by back-to-back 100-yard rushing games to close out the season.

Harrison established career-highs last season with 194 carries, 862 yards, 5 rushing touchdowns, 34 receptions, 220 receiving yards, and a pair of receiving touchdowns. The 5-9, 205-pound native of Kalamazoo, Michigan enters the 2010 season as the Browns' starting running back, but could face pressure from 2010 second-round pick Montario Hardesty.

Tendered at the "Second Round" level, Harrison will earn a base salary of $1.759 million dollars in 2010 if he and the Browns are unable to come to an agreement on a long-term contract.
