Broncos Waive Three Players From Roster

The Denver Broncos announced that they have waived running back Tony Baker, wide receiver Patrick Carter, and offensive lineman Kirk Barton from the roster.

Baker is an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State with two special teams tackles in the first two pre-season games.

Carter (6-3, 215) joined the Broncos earlier this month, but did not catch the one pass intended for him. An undrafted free agent out of Louisville in 2008, Carter spent his first training camp with the Baltimore Ravens, before spending last summer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carter finished last season on the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad before being waived in June.

Barton appeared in one game for the Chicago Bears, who selected him in the seventh-round of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. Barton has also had stints with the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Detroit Lions.
