Bills to Release DE Aaron Schobel

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Buffalo Bills will release defensive end Aaron Schobel on Wednesday.

Schobel has been on the Bills' "Reserve/Did Not Report" list, and the team announced earlier this week that they're moving on from Schobel.

"Aaron has been contemplating retirement for the past seven months, but we are at the point where we are moving forward and have informed his agent of our plans," Bills general manager Buddy Nix said in a statement on Monday.

"Aaron has been a very good player for the Bills and we wish him and his family the best, but there comes a point where we have to move forward and that point is today. We are focusing on the team’s best interests."

According to Schefter, the 32-year old Schobel plans to continue his NFL career, and as I've written since February, the Houston Texans make a lot of sense.
