The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they have waived offensive lineman Jason Shirley with a non-football injury.

A fifth-round pick (145th overall) out of Fresno State in 2008, the 6-5, 335-pound Shirley entered the NFL as a defensive tackle. Shirley was credited with four tackles in the three games he was active as a rookie.

Converted to the offensive line during last year's training camp, Shirley was waived at the end of the pre-season and spent the entire 2009 season on the practice squad.

If Shirley clears waivers, he'll be placed on the Bengals' injured reserve list.
