Agree 100% not giving Walker a 5th year, now when the time comes to resign Coop it's a no brainer!

Agreed. Avoid the one-year wallop and work on an extension if you truly feel he is finding his rhythm in the new defense...but I would wait until you see a larger sample size of improvement--not just a little, but significant. If it drives the price up, so be it. Walker is usually available, makes a lot of tackles, but his PFF grades are bad and he can't hold on to potential INTs. The Packers do like to keep their own players, but I would be extra cautious here.

Devonte Wyatt should also have not be given exercise of a fifth year
option as he has been a big of a bust like Walker

When they drafted Cooper, Walker's option went out the window. You don't draft a ILB that high and pay another a bunch of money.

It's the right call. Walker, while athletically gifted, lacks the instincts necessary to be a starter. They brought in more than a few off-ball LB's. Isaiah Simmons, Collin Oliver (eventually), Jamon Dumas-Johnson, maybe Connor Shay. Maybe Walker beats them all, but I think it's pretty clear, outside of Cooper, this group needs another upgrade.
