Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Mike Daniels is spending his bye weekend in the NFL by heading back to his alma mater.

The University of Iowa is recognizing Daniels by asking him to serve as honorary captain for the Hawkeyes game on Saturday.

"Daniels will accompany the Iowa captains to the center of the field for Saturday's pregame coin toss," according to the official website of Iowa Football. "He will also be with the Hawkeyes in the locker room before and after the game, and on the sidelines during the contest."

Iowa will host Northwestern at Kinnick Stadium in a game televised on the Big Ten Network at 11:00 a.m. CT.
