Jermichael Finley on if He'll Play in the NFL Again: "I'll Be Back"

In spite of injury, the former Packers tight end still thinks he'll play professional football in the future.

Jermichael Finley, who's been out of the NFL since a neck injury and subsequent spinal-fusion surgery last year, was the guest of former teammate Ahman Green on Green Bay's Locker Room show, airing on the local CBS affiliate on Tuesday.

Despite concerns over his health and well-being, Finley still apparently believes he'll play professional football again.

Asked whether he thinks he'll play in the NFL at some point in the future, Finley responded, "I think I will. Right now, you have to have the opportunity for one, you got to have teams waiting for two, and you got to be healthy. I mean, I'm not ready to take a hit right now, but I'll be back."

Finley still hasn't answered whether he's collected on his $10 million disability insurance policy or even filed a claim to do so. He reportedly could have done so on Oct. 21, according to USA Today's Tom Pelissero.

Only if the pack get despirate. TE play this year has been so so but we now pass to Lacy so we don't need no stinking tight ends

He'll be back as understudy to Jonathan Franklin.
