WNew England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker regrets his foot reference-heavy press conference before the team hosted the New York Jets in the Divisional Playoffs.

"I’m not going to get into any details about it, but I don’t think it’s worth putting coach (Bill Belichick) in that situation," Welker told Karen Guregian of The Boston Herald while awaiting his flight to Hawaii for this Sunday's Pro Bowl. "So in a sense, I do regret it...As much as you might want to get enticed into that stuff, at the end of the day, it’s just not worth it."

Welker was kept out of the starting lineup before catching a team-high 7 passes for 57 yards in the 28-21 loss.
