Vikings to Sign WR Hank Baskett

Wide receiver Hank Baskett, released earlier today by the Philadelphia Eagles, will sign with the Minnesota Vikings, reports Jason La Canfora for the NFL Network.

As a vested veteran, Baskett is not subject to waivers.

Originally signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico, the 6-4, 220-pound Baskett was traded to the Eagles for wide receiver Billy McMullen. In 61 career games with the Eagles (2006-10) and Indianapolis Colts (2009), Baskett has 76 receptions for 1,080 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Baskett was active and played sparingly in both of the Eagles games this season before being released to make room on the 53-man roster for running back Joique Bell, who was signed off the Buffalo Bills practice squad.
