Vikings Starters, Including Favre, Likely to Play Into 3rd Quarter on Saturday

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre's 2010 pre-season debut last four plays over 2 minutes and 45 seconds of game clock. According to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, he'll play a lot longer on Saturday night.

Head coach Brad Childress confirmed after the Vikings' 15-10 loss that he plans to treat the third pre-season game as he normally would, which would mean the starters will play into the third quarter.

Zulgad adds that this includes Favre and running back Adrian Peterson.

The Vikings host the Seattle Seahawks at the Metrodome, which will also serve as the final tune-up for the regular season-opener against the New Orleans Saints on September 9.
