Vikings Sign OL Patrick Brown to Active Roster

Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Patrick Brown has been signed off the team's practice squad.

Brown replaces guard Anthony Herrera, who was placed on injured reserve. The Vikings also signed cornerback Cary Harris, a sixth-round pick out of USC by the Buffalo Bills in 2009, to replace Brown on the practice squad.

Brown (6-5, 310) went undrafted out of Central Florida in 2009, signing with the Carolina Panthers as a free agent. Waived by the Panthers last September, Brown had a brief stint on the New England Patriots' practice squad before spending the final 18 weeks of last season with the Vikings' practice squad.

Waived by the Vikings in September, Brown was claimed by the New York Jets, spending two weeks on their active roster before he was waived and claimed by the Miami Dolphins. Brown spent seven weeks as a gameday inactive in Miami before he was released.

Brown re-joined the Vikings' practice squad on November 11.
