Vikings Re-Structure Moss' Contract

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Minnesota Vikings have restructured the contract of newly acquired wide receiver Randy Moss.

According to Schefter, the reworked contract includes no new money, but does include a provision that the Vikings will not use the franchise or transitition tag on Moss next off-season, provided those options are included in a new collective bargaining agreement.

Moss is owed $4,894,118 over the next 13 weeks, the prorated portion of his $6.4 million base salary for 2010, the final year of a three-year, $27 million contract Moss signed with the New England Patriots in 2008.
