Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com has the details of the five-year contract extension that San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis signed last Saturday.

Signing bonus: $10 million

Base salaries

2010: $3.874M (guaranteed)
2011: $4.708M (guaranteed)
2012: $5.751M ($4.418M guaranteed)
2013: $6.072M
2014: $4.7M
2015: $4.35M

Between base salary and the signing bonus, $23 million is guaranteed over the next three seasons. Davis' deal also includes $200,000 in workout bonuses between 2011-15, and $400,000 is available in per game ($25,000) roster bonuses in those seasons.

Davis' three-year haul, including per game roster bonuses, is $25.133 million, $733,000 more than six-time Pro Bowler Antonio Gates will receive in the first three years of the five-year extension he signed in August.

The $23 million in guarantees in Davis' deal is $2.6 million more in guaranteed money than Gates received, as well.
