Troy Smith to Play Entire Pre-Season Finale

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Troy Smith will not only start the team's pre-season finale against the St. Louis Rams, he'll play the entire game, Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun reports.

After expressing a desire to be traded this off-season, Smith (6-0, 225) changed agents and signed his one-year, $1.101 million restricted free agent tender. Smith is fighting to remain on the team's 53-man roster this summer, despite the Ravens trading fourth-string quarterback John Beck to the Washington Redskins at the beginning of training camp.

To solidify his roster spot in 2009, Beck started and played the entire pre-season finale, as well.

Smith has completed 16-of-25 pass attempts for 151 yards and 1 touchdown this summer, compiling a passer rating of 93.9. Smith also has 41 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
