Titans Place Dave Ball, Ryan Mouton on IR

The Tennessee Titans announced that defensive end Dave Ball and cornerback Ryan Mouton have been placed on injured reserve.

Ball (concussion) and Mouton (hamstring) have not participated in this week's practices, and were not expected to play on Sunday against Houston.

A former fifth-round pick (133rd overall) out of UCLA by the San Diego Chargers in 2004, Ball has spent the last three seasons with the Titans, who tendered the restricted at the "Second-Round" level last off-season.

Ball had a career-high 7 quarterback sacks this season, his first as a full-time starter, and the soon-to-be 30-year old will be a free agent in the off-season.

Mouton (5-9, 184) was a third-round pick out of Hawaii in 2009. In 23 games, Mouton has totaled 35 tackles and a forced fumble. Mouton's contributions have primarily come as a core member of the Titans' special teams units.

Rookie defensive end Hall Davis and cornerback Pete Ittersagen have been signed off the practice squad to replace Ball and Mouton on the 53-man roster.
