Suh's Agent Not Looking at Bradford Talks

Detroit Lions first-round defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh hopes to be signed in time for training camp. That desire is shared by his agent, Roosevelt Barnes, who tells Mike O'Hara, reporting for the Detroit News, that Suh's contract status is not tied to the status of St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, the player chosen ahead of Suh in the 2010 NFL Draft.

"I don't know what's going on with the Bradford negotiations," Barnes said. "The only thing I'm concerned about is getting a deal with the Detroit Lions that is commensurate with a player like Ndamukong and what he brings to their organization--on and off the field...

"A player like Ndamukong Suh hasn't come along in many years, so it's hard to say anything about what has happened in the past and how much impact that would have as a reference point."

Lions' players, rookies and veterans, report on July 30, with the first practice scheduled for July 31.
