The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of veteran offensive tackle Adrian Jones.

Offensive tackle Willie Colon (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve to make room for Jones on the 80-man roster.

A fourth-round pick (132nd overall) out of Kansas by the New York Jets in 2004, Jones appeared in 44 games for the Jets, including 16 starts in 2005, before being waived and claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jones started 10 of 11 games for the Chiefs in 2008, and was with the Houston Texans during the 2009 pre-season. The Texans cut Jones on September 5, and he spent the season on the NFL's workout circuit.
