Seahawks Would Be Interested in Aaron Schobel

During an appearance on The John Clayton Show on 710 ESPN Seattle, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider was asked if the team would have an interest in free agent defensive end Aaron Schobel.

"Candidate? Absolutely," Schneider said (Schobel segment begins around the 7-minute mark). "But it sounds like he's well on his way to Houston is basically what the message we've received (is)."

Clayton detailed Schobel's production last season in Buffalo, and how he still has a lot left in the tank and could be a pass-rushing replacement for Patrick Kerney, but Schneider doesn't see it in the cards.

"He can clearly still play, and I heard he loves salmon, but I don't think that this is...We'd love to do it, he's a phenomenal football player, but indications are, like you said, that he's probably going to Buffalo...or Houston, sorry.

"Congratulations, you guys are getting him back!", Schneider joked.

"Trust me, he does not want to go back to Buffalo," Clayton added.
