Seahawks Sign RB Chris Henry Off Practice Squad

The Seattle Seahawks have signed running back Chris Henry off their practice squad, releasing offensive tackle Breno Giacomini to make room on the 53-man roster.
Giacomini had been signed off the Packers' practice squad on September 28. By rule, the former fifth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers was guaranteed at least three game-checks, an obligation that was met last week.
With the return to health of guard/tackle Chester Pitts, the Seahawks no longer needed a tenth offensive linemen.
Seattle has been carrying just four running backs on the 53-man roster, which explains why Henry was the player signed to the active roster.
The 5-11, 230-pound Henry has 32 carries for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns in his career, which began as a second-round pick (50th) out of Arizona by the Tennessee Titans in 2007. Henry joined the Houston Texans last season and signed with the Seahawks' practice squad in September, reuniting with Seahawks running backs coach Sherman Smith, his first position coach in the NFL.
