Seahawks Re-Sign WR Ruvell Martin

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they have signed wide receiver Ruvell Martin.

Defensive tackle Frank Okam has been placed on waivers.

Martin went to training camp in 2010 with the Seahawks, catching six passes for 55 yards and recording one special teams tackle before he was released on September 4. Seattle re-signed Martin on November 3, but released him three days later to add an offensive tackle (Breno Giacomini) and quarterback (Zac Robinson) to the active roster.

With 2010 second-round wide receiver Golden Tate out with ankle injury, and Brandon Stokley slowed by tightness in his calf, Martin adds depth the team's receiving position for tomorrow's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Okam (6-4, 350) was signed on November 2, but was inactive for last week's home game against the New York Giants.
