Seahawks Re-Sign QB J.P. Losman

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll announced that quarterback J.P. Losman has been re-signed.

Losman went through training camp with the Seahawks, completing 6-of-14 passes for 16 yards and an interception in limited work in two pre-season games before he was released on September 4.

The 22nd overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Tulane by the Buffalo Bills, Losman (6-2, 212) started 33 of 42 games during his five seasons with the Bills, completing 59.2% of his pass attempts for 6,211 yards, with 33 touchdowns and 34 interceptions, compiling a passer rating of 75.6.

Losman spent 2009 with the Las Vegas Locomotives, throwing for 1,193 yards and 9 touchdowns as he led the team to a win in the first ever UFL Championship Game, and the Oakland Raiders, where he signed for the final three weeks of the regular season, attempting one pass.

Carroll also announced the re-signing of center/guard Chris White, and that cornerback Josh Pinkard had been placed on waivers. Pinkard was activated off the "Reserve/Non-Football Injury" list earlier this week.
