Seahawks OL Chester Pitts Activated From PUP

Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Chester Pitts was activated off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list today, reports Greg Johns of seattlepi.com.

Johns adds that Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll hopes Pitts can get snaps in this week, and when ready, will play offensive tackle.

The 31-year old Pitts is coming off a knee injury that ended his 2009 season, as well as his streak of 114 consecutive starts. The 6-4, 308-pound primarily played guard throughout his eight-year career with the Houston Texans, but is familiar with Seattle's zone-blocking system and should be able to provide depth at several positions along the offensive line.
