Seahawks Announce Signing of J.P. Losman

The Seattle Seahawks have announced the signing of veteran free agent quarterback J.P. Losman, as well as the addition of tight end Michael Allan.

Undrafted free agent wide receiver Victor James and tight end Patrick Devenney have been released.

Allan, a 6-6, 254-pound native of Bellevue, Washington, was a seventh-round (231st overall) pick out of Division III Whitworth University (Spokane, Wash.) in 2007 by the Kansas City Chiefs. Allan caught 5 passes for 64 yards during his first pre-season with the Chiefs, but was waived at the end of training camp and signed to the practice squad. Allan was added to the 53-man roster late in the '07 season, but did not appear in a game.

The following pre-season, Allan caught one pass for 18 yards and was waived by the Chiefs. Allan re-appeared on the professional football radar screen last summer when he signed with the California Redwoods of the United Football League.
