Seahawks Add CB Cord Parks to Practice Squad

For the second time in as many weeks, cornerback Cord Parks has signed a practice squad contract with the Seattle Seahawks, a league source said.

Parks (5-10, 178) averaged 24.6 yards on 10 kick returns, and had five tackles (3 on special teams) and a pair of passes defensed during the pre-season with the Seahawks, who claimed him off waivers from the St. Louis Rams in June.

Parks signed with the Rams in 2009 as an undrafted free agent out of Northeastern. After spending most of the season on the Rams' practice squad, Parks posted a pair of special teams tackles when added to the 53-man roster late in his rookie season.

The Seahawks had an open spot after releasing guard Brian De La Puente from the eight-man squad on Monday.
