Saints LB Harry Coleman Arrested on Battery Charge

New Orleans Saints linebacker Harry Coleman was arrested early Sunday morning on a simple battery charge in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana.

Details of the incident remain "sketchy", James Varney of The Times-Picayune reports, adding that, given the time and location of the arrest, law enforcement officials are speculating that Coleman may have "been involved in an incident at the casino run by the Chitimacha tribe".

A two-year starter at LSU, the 6-2, 211-pound Coleman played both strong safety and linebacker, developing a reputation for being a hard-hitting defender. Coleman totaled 183 tackles and four quarterback sacks during his college career, and was named LSU's Most Valuable Player after the 2009 season.

Viewed by many teams to be too small to play linebacker, Coleman was not selected in the 2010 NFL Draft, and signed a three-year contract with the Saints last month.
