Saints DE Will Smith Isn't Paying Attention to MN Court Case

Even though whether or not he's forced to serve a four-game suspension after testing positive for StarCaps, a banned over-the-counter diuretic, hinges upon the outcome, New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith hasn't been paying attention to the court case involving Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Kevin and Pat Williams.

"To be honest with you, I really didn't follow it," Smith said, according to Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune. "All I expect to do is go work out and do what I've been doing every off-season, and whatever happens happens. You try not to let little things drag you down. I just try to stay focused and just try to help out my team."

As Triplett notes, Smith tested positive for the diuretic before the 2008 regular season, yet he has not been forced to serve that four-game suspension. By adding veteran defensive ends Alex Brown and Jimmy Wilkerson this off-season, it's obvious the Saints are paying attention to the case, even if Smith isn't.
