The New Orleans Saints have elevated running back DeShawn Wynn to the 53-man roster, Wynn's agent, David Canter, announced.

Wynn joined the Saints on August 23. After gaining 38 yards on 9 pre-season carries, Wynn made the team's 53-man roster and was active in the team's first two games in the regular season. New Orleans waived Wynn when they re-signed running back Ladell Betts on September 22, and re-signed Wynn to the practice squad two days later.

With Reggie Bush out with a broken fibula, and Pierre Thomas questionable with an ankle injury, Wynn adds depth behind Betts and rookie Chris Ivory in the Saints' backfield.
