Report: Eagles Showing Interest in Marshawn Lynch

Reuben Frank of the Burlington County Times reports the Philadelphia Eagles have contacted the Buffalo Bills about the availability of running back Marshawn Lynch.

Eagles starting running back LeSean McCoy suffered a fractured rib during Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. McCoy's availability for next Sunday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers won't be known until later in the week.

Lynch (5-11, 215) leads the Bills with 37 carries for 164 yards, but the former first-round pick out of Cal has been unhappy with his contract. Lynch has rushed for 2,765 yard and 17 touchdowns over the last 3+ seasons, adding 94 receptions for 670 yards and a touchdown out of the backfield.

Lynch earned a trip to the Pro Bowl following the 2008 season, but the presence of running backs Fred Jackson and 2010 first-round pick C.J. Spiller make Lynch expendable.

The Bills have until October 19 to move Lynch this season.
