ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Washington Redskins quarterback John Beck has signed a two-year contract extension.

Beck was acquired in early August from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for cornerback Doug Dutch, who the Ravens waived on Tuesday. In two pre-season games with the Redskins, Beck is 9-of-18 (50%) for 103 yards and has been sacked three times.

A second-round pick (40th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft out of BYU by the Miami Dolphins, Beck started four games during Miami's 1-15 season, completing 56.1% of his passes for 559 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

Waived by the Dolphins last April, Beck joined the Ravens in May and spent last season as the #3 quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Troy Smith.

A restricted free agent this off-season, Beck was tendered at the "Original Round" level by the Ravens, and was scheduled to earn a base salary of $1.101 million in 2010.

According to NFLPA records, Beck will earn $600,000 in 2010, $800,000 in 2011, and $1 million in 2012.
