Rams WR Danario Alexander to Have Knee Scoped

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danario Alexander hobbled off the field after landing awkwardly on his left knee during today's practice.

FOXSports.com's Adam Caplan reports that Alexander will undergo arthroscopic surgery that will sideline for a few weeks.

Knee issues were the only thing that kept NFL teams from using a pick on the 6-5, 215-pound receiver from the University of Missouri, including a left knee injury during the Senior Bowl that required surgery.

Alexander signed with the Rams in August. After spending the first few weeks of the season on the practice squad, Alexander signed a four-year deal, which included a signing bonus over $35,000, to join the active roster. Alexander caught 4 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in his debut, but followed that up with just one catch for six yards last week.
