Rams Lose WR Dominique Curry to Torn ACL

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo's lengthy injury update during his Monday afternoon press conference included some positive news on running back Steven Jackson, who has a strain, not torn groin muscle.

Jackson will be re-evaluated on Wednesday, and his availability for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks will be better determined then.

On the negative side, wide receiver Dominique Curry will miss the remainder of the 2010 season with a torn ACL in his right knee.

Though not a factor in the Rams' offense, the 6-2, 224-pound undrafted free agent from California University (PA) is a core member of the Rams' special teams units, posting a pair of tackles and blocking a punt during Sunday's 30-16 win over the Washington Redskins.

Curry's special teams prowess during the pre-season (4 tackles) helped earn him a spot on the team's 53-man roster.
