Patriots Reach Deal With DL Gerard Warren

At the conclusion of the 2010 NFL Draft, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the New England Patriots had reached agreement with free agent defensive lineman Gerard Warren.

Terms were not disclosed.

Warren, 31, was released by the Oakland Raiders on March 11, as he was due to receive a nearly $6 million dollar roster bonus on March 14.

The third overall pick of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Florida, Warren has started 127 of 136 career games, and has been credited with 295 tackles and 32 quarterback sacks. Warren spent four seasons in Cleveland, before he was traded to the Denver Broncos for a fourth-round pick in 2005. Denver shipped him to Oakland for a fifth round pick in 2007.
