Patriots DL Myron Pryor Fined $7,500

New England Patriots defensive lineman Myron Pryor has been fined $7,500 by the National Football League for his hit on Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Pryor's fourth quarter hit knocked Favre out of the game, which New England won, 28-18. Favre's chin required stitching, though any helmet-to-helmet contact appeared to be unintentional.

"You don’t mean to hurt somebody," Pryor said earlier this week according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald. "And when it happened, I didn’t think I hit him hard enough to make him (leave the game with an injury). But maybe just from the impact going to the ground and from me laying on top of him, that’s what made the chin messed up."
